WILDER-WAITE SCHOOL
      
Wilder-Waite Community Club is sponsoring a variety show and spaghetti dinner Saturday, March 26 starting at 4:30 p.m. at Wilder Waite School.  The Show is called "Happy Daze," a take-off of the TV program "Happy Daze."  Newell DuBail ("Hero"), Doug Mooney ("Nerd"), and Wes Bantz ("Hoodie"),left, practice their roles in the show, as do the dancers below.

Judi Smith laughingly brushes up on an old pastime for the Wilder Waite variety show spaghetti dinner.  The show begins at 7:30 p.m. after the dinner.  The price of dinner and show is $2 for adults and $1 for children, and $.50 will be charged those who just want to see the show.
Don Swanson will demonstrate his roller skating skills at the the variety show and spaghetti dinner sponsored by the Wilder Waite Community Club.  Proceeds from the event will purchase library books for the school.

In addition to the annual Spook Spectacular, the Community Club sponsored variety shows in March 1974 and March 1976.   Parents and staff were involved in the meal preparation and shows.   Not only did the Community Club raise money for the school, but it was a lot of fun for the workers, actors, and the audience.

Haw Haw, a take-off of the popular TV program Hee Haw, was presented to a packed gymnasium March 28, 1974.  Dixie and Frank Vojta were co-chairmen of the show and the dinner was provided by 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade room mothers.  Parents and staff were involved in this hilarious show.   A fun time was had by all!
The amazing chicken costumes were made designed  by Pat Garmer. Sue Wilkinson, Rose Bantz, and Mary Lou Sullivan helped in the construction of the costurmes.

Sets were made by Frank Vojta, Sylvia Straw, and Judy Burkey.  Mark Townsend was the lighting master.

One member of the "chicken chorus line" is getting her feathers puffed by Shirley Sherwood in anticipation of the Wilder-Waite Community Club's chili supper and variety show.  The event, which will feature a dinner 5 to 7 p.m. and a show starting at 7:30 will be held at the the school Thursday, March 28.

1965 Wilder-Waite Carnival
These women will be among the entertainers performing in the “Frantic Forties” a variety    show, which the Wilder-Waite Parent Teachers Association will present in conjunction with a chilli super at the school Saturday.  Practicing their act are (from left to right) Mrs. Art Wilson, Mrs. Kent Ogelsby, Mrs. William Heinz, Mrs. Tom Howard, Mrs. Gene Harper, and Mrs. Walter Brakeman.  The chili supper will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the variety show at 8 o’clock.
