Third grade teachers Elsie Sipp and Marilyn Shontz were the first to occupy the temporary classrooms...in 1974-75. Each class was fully carpeted, air-conditioned, with draw-drapes, drinking fountain and boys and girls restrooms. The building served an important purpose when the population explosion hit WW. The sudden student increase occurred when the then Candletree Apartment buildings were opened.

1978-79 Kindergarten Classes were held at Pioneer Jr High until Banner opened in 1980. Sheri Alexander and kindergarten classes returned to Wilder Waite in 1980.
